My word for the year (2019) is......

Saturday, December 29, 2018

I've chosen my word for the year.

Love. emoticon

I resisted, because cliche, much?

But it's simple and essential. I desperately need to be in my body this year..more than my thoughts. I need to be in my home this year. I need to be live & in person as much as I can.

But deeper, and more on point, I want to embody love in ways that transform lives and souls. For me this looks like how I love the Great Creator and how he/she loves others. How I love my gorgeous and faithful husband. How I love my body, my home and fur babies. How I love my writing, art and my work.

I call 2019 my Year of Love. Not that love is confined to 365 days, but because I want to lay a foundation for the remainder of my life that is rooted in the purest kind of love, one that is humble, generous, gracious and wise. I want to learn how to be a true lover, and what this looks like when boundaries are needed and when I need to say "Yes" or "No," or when love means something different to me than it does to the culture, society and world we live in.

Welcome to my love life.

Do you have a "word for 2019? If so, please share. I would love that.

I love your choice and your reasons. I’m not ready to commit to one word. Peace, joy, kindness, strength, vulnerability, action, consistency, honesty and love are all more than words that I want to embrace and pursue today and every moment of every day.

What a great word!! I *LOVE* it! I have been working on loving me the past few weeks. My favorite page in my bullet journal is Don’t be Prickly with myself.
My word for 2019 is Faith. I will have Faith that God will release pounds. Faith that He will teach me a new way to cook and eat.

I *love* your word!! My word is NOW. I don't need to live in my yesterdays, and I'm always the dreamer, living in my tomorrows, but I've got to be in the *here* in the NOW, so that I too, may LIVE each day mindfully in control of WHAT my thoughts are thinking and WHAT my emotions are feeling.

I love what you’ve done with your word this year. Mine this year is “finish”. Paramount is completing my book. Finishing strong has been an elusive quality for me. Shining a light on it is just what I need to keep up the practice. I want to finish my days with the same strength and motivation I wake with. I want to follow through on the goals I set for myself. I deserve to finish strong.
