Gaining weight when trying to lose weight

Ever since I saw a dietician at the beginning of December, I have been very strict with my healthy diet and staying on track by logging my food every day, making sure I don't eat too many carbs, sugar, or calories. I've also been walking at least 30 minutes every day. I was weighed at the sleep clinic today and I'm up to 266.
Has anyone else experienced this, could it be my uterine fibroids and polycystic ovaries causing weight gain despite being on a dietician-recommended weight loss plan?
