It's been a while...

Monday, November 05, 2018

It has been a while since my last post and tons of things have happened! In October 2017, I ran my first and only half marathon on my 39th birthday. That was quite an accomplishment for me! I ended up damaging my knees and have not been able to run since. :-( I also have a severely depressed 16 year old with anxiety issues that I have been dealing with. It has been hard to watch him struggle as well. Food has always been my go-to. I have struggled with eating and have put on some weight! I also have gotten to where I didn't care what I ate or how much. I struggle. I fall off the bandwagon. I just want to be able to eat anything I want like the little skinny blond I work with but I can't. It is a realization for me that I have to work 10 times as hard as she does...but that is okay! I am going to start slow and work my way back to where I was. It is harder these days though. I turned 40 3 weeks ago so I know things will be changing in my body and it will be harder and harder so I have to do this NOW! I will work on eating healthy and working out. The weight will come off on it's own...maybe...but I will be healthier on the inside and that is all that matters right now. I will feel better in my own skin! I will sleep better and not ache all the time! This will be a good start to being 40! I GOT THIS!!

I am glad you are back and working on being a healthy you. So sorry about your knees, and I hope you find some help for your Son, no fun to watch out loved ones suffer. I think that makes us very anxious too. emoticon
I use to be mad that I could not eat the way I use to, I packed on quite a bit of weight till I realized I could not do that anymore. Than I had a hard time taking it off. Great that you are starting now, just make small goals, one step at a time. You CAN do this.

It's my experience that the skinny little blond has her own struggles. Maybe not with weight or food but everyone has something. A stressful time is the best time to focus on yourself so you can better help others.
