Can it be true?

It feels great to finally have found a plan that actually works with my body instead of against it. All the foods I was told not to eat, practically my whole life, are the foods that my body needs, desires, craves. All the crap that I was feeding my body was just that, crap. Low fat, low sodium, lots of "healthy" carbs. None of that works for me. I had to work twice as hard at a minimum and work out like crazy just to keep the weight moving down.

Maybe this isn't for everyone but my body loves it! I am eating delicious, nourishing, organic fats and a lot of them. I'm also eating a moderate amount of protein to feed my muscles. Carbs? No need for a lot of them or in my body. Low glycemic, organic vegetables in moderation and a little bit of berries now and then is all my body can handle without responding negatively.

They say this is not sustainable. Possibly; many people can't stick with it. I understand that. By the same token, the vast majority of people can also not stick with a "diet". I have tried so many, I'm sure I have lost track of them all. Each of them would work for a period of time, until you didnt' follow it anymore. Then the weight would come back with a vengeance and bring along friends.

Even when I lost 100 lbs, it didn't feel right. I was constantly weighing and measuring and counting. In addition, I was working out on every lunch hour and every evening. Loading up on "Healthy" carbs only to have to burn them off. Craziness!

Yes, I can eat out. Yes, this is sustainable for ME. NO...I DO NOT MISS BREAD!

I have had bread once since I started. I won't do it again. It made me tired and feeling sick. Two pieces of bread! I needed no other reminders. My body is telling me what it needs and its about time I am finally listening.

It's time for me to listen to my body. I'm listening and I finally understand.

I'm just over three months eating this way and I just passed 50 lbs lost. It's a winner for me. I look forward to all this life has to offer. Step one has been accomplished. I am walking up the stairs without holding on and taking one stair at a time...up I go! What will be next?

    It is sustainable. Look at the Wikipedia page on Carbohydrates. Search down for the word "essential" and it says no carbohydrate is essential for humans!

    A good point on many "diets" being unsustainable. Think of this one as Way Of Eating.
