Clenching Your Teeth

Tuesday, August 07, 2018

I went to the dentist and paid him $42 dollars to tell me nothing was wrong with my tooth. He told me I was clenching my teeth, and I should wear a night guard. Well, with this realization, I discovered he was wrong; I clench my teeth during the day when I am stressed. I did not realize I clench my teeth--stressed or not.

I am doing some very stressful classes right now, and when I am working on a deadline, I find myself clenching my teeth. I was chewing gum, but I was chewing too much so I stopped. Now, I find myself clenching my teeth. I am working on new stress relievers to try before I clench my teeth.

What do you do to relieve stress, I need some good ideas. Thanks!

I've found doing really stupid almost tedious tasks helps me, such as coloring complicated designs, organizing my nail polishes by color..etc. . It sounds counterintuitive but it takes my mind off of my stress for a few minutes.
