A leg to stand on!

Wednesday, May 02, 2018

Greetings Spark friends,
Throwing a monthly update your way on the trials and tribulations of disablement! The update is this:: No change seen on the x-rays which I'm told is a good thing and signify's the bones are in fact healing. The rainbow of colors has faded or are gone and swelling is easing. We're on epsom salt soaks 2x a day. All pretty positive! However, no parole granted so the ball and chain are still in place and my means of transportation is still my 2 wheeler ~
Follow up in 2 weeks will bring hopefully a lighter boot and PT on the wheels, Thats it!
I have to be honest and share that after a month of this, depression IS setting in slightly. I find myself pushing it away. "This too shall cease to exist" and it is after all TEMPORARY !!
Thanks for listening emoticon

I'm glad you are seeing some progress and still have your humor. Fight the depression - as you said this too will pass.

Good to hear from you and happy to hear that signs of healing are evident. I understand the feelings of depression. Recovery from my pelvic fracture was brutal. Sitting outside and enjoying fresh air helped me maintain some semblance of sanity while I awaited "parole".

    Hang in there, lady! emoticon
