1/2 day snow day

Looks like a blizzard is setting down here for the day. Everything looks so beautiful, like a snow globe. The kids are already on their way home from school at noon.
Snowy days and nights always put me in mind of comfort foods. Grilled cheese. A bowl of stew with warm bread and potatoes. Popcorn by the fire. Hot cocoa. Chicken pot pie. Any Pie!
I thought it might be a good idea to think of some ketogenic comfort foods to get through the storm.
No bread. No potatoes. No noodles. No rice. No corn. No Pie.
But SOUP! Yes Soup!
I love soup. Especially cream based soup.
Cream of broccoli, cream of tomato, cream of asparagus.
I love chicken soup too.
Bone broth with chopped celery a few green beans a handful of spinach and shredded chicken. Yum!
How about a square of rich dark chocolate? I have that every night before bed as comfort food.
Whipped cream. Mmmmmmmmm.....
I have a whipped cream maker. It's awesome. I fill it up at the beginning of the week and then I can have a couple tablespoons whenever I want. I like to mix it with a few raspberries as a special treat or desert. It goes well with my square of chocolate as well.
That should get me through the night
