I bought a recliner and a small dining room set with 2 chairs 4 or more months ago. The one dining room came broken and the recliner has a stain on it. The recliner in thek store fit better than the one I got, and my back doesn't fit and it has problems. I have waited for almost 2 months again for a new dining room chair, plus the chair to have the stain removed. Well I called the store today, I said damn and the phone went dead. The woman answered and said she hung up the phone because I swore. I said I WILL BE RIGHT UP. She must have thought I was kidding because, when I got up there 15 minutes later, I did look around and NO customers and I said in a loud voice. I am JOYCE CAIN, now where is the owner of this establishment. I said you have no customers. I heard a file drawer close quickly and a voice meekly say, my God she is here. Mr. Miller Jr. came running down the stairs, and I was sitting in the recliner I should have received. He said I am sorry, I know who you are, I am sorry I just found out. Your dining room chair will be here after the 5th of January. Ok, I said now about the recliner. It has a stain, it looks like a finger print. The chair is killing my back. He said the chair I was in is an electric type button it, you push and it goes up and down. Mine is like the pull string on a parachute. It doesn't go back easily and it doesn't fit the same. It would take 8 weeks to get it and $100. for the electronics. I said no. You will, when my dining room chair comes in and bring this chair with you, even exchange. I know this chair has been here for several yeurs, and a lot of butts in it, even trade. He said but you have a new chair, yes and it is cover to keep the dirt off, and the seat in that chair looks used. I need a chair now. NOW. My back will not take much more. They were surprised. And I said BY THE WAY, MY CHAIR IS STAIN GAURDED. jI also told the sales woman to make sure she tells people about the differences in the chair. I am 68 yrs. old, The chair hopefully will outlive me.

    Good for you Joyce! I would have loved to see the look on their faces. Sorry you had to go through this aggravation during the Christmas season and I hope your New Year is more calm and harmonious. Please post a picture of yourself in your new (old) chair when it comes and I hope it fits perfectly.

    Joyce, you are a warrior! I was smilling at your spirit as I read your post. They certainly tangled with the wrong customer here if they thought they'd get away with their slyness. This is exactly how you must be if they are going to try to cheat and scam you; they ask for it. And this is so draining to have to be like this. Why don't businesses behave?
