I was denied by the state

Wednesday, August 23, 2017

Well I received a letter in the mail today stating that I have been denied by the state because I made too much money. They counted my mom's income as mine and now here I sit without insurance! I cried my eyes out today in frustration and sadness. Knowing that they won't listen to me at all. They have done this before and I am their victim. I feel like my life has been turned upside down now. The state thinks I can buy my health care but I am broke hello.

Jen I am so sorry that you are having to deal with this. Here in Canada it is required that all have coverage - we are blessed at this time for both of us it costs $150 a month (all emergency visits, hospital stays and doctor visits are covered by that|) and in January the government has announce that is going to be lowered by about 1/2. And we are the expensive province.

Question: How can they include your mom's income as yours - that doesn't make sense to me - hers should be hers and yours yours - I can see it if you were married but mother to daughter - doesn't make sense.

    Am praying for you

emoticon that the state has denied your appeal. The only up side is that without insurance, you can levy for a reduction in fees with each caregiver. I have a friend with no health insurance and she has multiple issues for which she is treated. Ask God to give you favor before you begin negotiating with them. Research exactly how to go about it and work at keeping calm and smiling through the process. It is when a person is demanding and contentious that those working in the doctors' offices become stubborn and unwilling to work with the patient. emoticon emoticon emoticon

OH....I did think of something....talk to your doctor's office and to the pharmacist
both places may have a person who helps buy medications

So sorry! I have had times when I was in your position and you worry so much more that something will happen. This country really needs "Medicare for all". Nobody should have to go without healthcare in this country.

My son tried to get the ACA and was denied because he did not have a tax form, he is going to college to get a good job but right now he does not have one. If he gets sick I have to pay for his treatments but at least the ones that I go to are not too expensive and will work with me on paying them.

I'm sorry =( I don't have health insurance either. It's rough, but we just have to do the best that we can. I had medicare for a short while but they cut it off after a year. I live in VA but I grew up in Wisconsin.
