Wednesday, May 17, 2017 - May Day Blog Series - Day 17
Wednesday, May 17, 2017
One of the most amazing phenomena I can describe is how the appearance of sunshine, especially after many days of gloom, truly does make everything brighter, figuratively as well as literally. It is so refreshing to wake up to the sun, and the day seems so much less daunting when I do. So despite the fact that I do, sadly, feel more and more stress as each day passes and my surgery date draws nearer, at the same time I do feel more upbeat because of the sunshine.
Luckily, the weather has finally stabilized here, so my hip feels a bit better. That helps with the outlook, too. Not so much a lion with a thorn in her paw, if you know what I mean. I am doing my best to keep my eye on my goals, and am doing well in not getting side-tracked. So here goes:
1. commit to eating my planned meals and snacks, and no more - did well on this yesterday 2. do one seated workout of the several I have found on SP daily - I did get my PT exercises done last night.
3. set aside 15 minutes in the middle of every day, just after lunch, to pray/meditate - I started this yesterday, but something interrupted and I never got back to it
4. report my daily progress in this May Day blog series -check
I drank my last Shakeology shake this morning, and I have ordered some IdealShape Shake which is due to arrive within a few days, so I will be "on my own" for the next few days. I am a bit curious to see how I feel, as I had felt more energetic with the Shakeology. One thing for sure is I will make sure I take my multivitamin tomorrow and for as long as I don't have any of the protein rich shake mixes.
Trying to keep my eye on the prize, hopefully the scale will show progress this week. Two more days until I step on.
