I am so happy to be saying that the good times are still rolling. Now, before I make it sound like I am blasting through granite, let me just explain that "good times" means I am not off the rails and my focus is still on my little set of goals. For me, that is true success these days.
Yesterday I ended up having to leave work for a bit to go with my husband and take our dog to the vets to figure out why he suddenly won't go down the stairs in our house. So we really don't know the answer to that question, though the vet thinks his neck is bothering him, I don't think that is the case, since he willingly goes down the same number of outside stairs, it's just the inside stairs that are a problem. Anyway, after the vets we decided to go for lunch, and even though I only had a sandwich, it was more of a lunch than I usually have calorically. So I switched my lunch for dinner, and last night at what I was planning to have for lunch for dinner.
I feel so much better these last few days, again. I know part of it is that I'm eating well and not eating junk, and I don't want to jinx myself, but boy, what a difference. I seem to be laser focused for the first time in quite a long time.
So as for those goals:
1. commit to eating my planned meals and snacks, and no more - did well on this yesterday
2. do one seated workout of the several I have found on SP daily - I did all my PT exercises yesterday. Had hoped to also find a seated workout to do, but I ran out of time.
3. set aside 15 minutes in the middle of every day, just after lunch, to pray/meditate - again, time kept me from doing this yesterday.
4. report my daily progress in this May Day blog series - Check
So this weekend will be a true test, because I'm so out of routine on the weekends. I think one thing that might keep me more on track is if I do this blog check in, so I am planning to do just that. Fingers crossed.
