I am the lowest weight I have been since my 30's possibly before. I had the DISadvantage of growing up super skinny and was very self conscious about it. That's part of being a kid. I thrived away at college.. got happy and ate. That trend continued. Now that its just me I eat healthy most of the time. I keep the ice cream away. I do indulge in dark chocolate. I track my food.. THAT's a no brainer. Exercise has been thwarted due to my fall back in late August. I have some major decisions on the best approach to healing. I still do water aerobics mostly since I am in charge of the program.
I'm trying to be upbeat. I have a birthday later this week.. but it's the day after the 2nd anniversary of my husbands unexpected passing. Mostly when I think of him it's with fond memories so that's a positive. He had a good life..more than half of it with me. Just typing this helped.

Sorry I missed this Pam. Trying to catch up after all I have been through recently. That is awesome you are at your lowest weight since your 30's-sure is a great feeling, isn't it?! Glad you stuck with SP and your calorie counting! That is how you keep off the weight....how I have been able to maintain my 97 pound loss, as I continue to loss the rest of my fat! I didn't have a weight problem when I was a kid either and when we got married, that is when my weight piles on.
Great idea Hickok-Haley had about the plant to honor your husband- maybe even a tree! emoticon
Congrats and keep on with what you are doing, especially if you need to lose more weight! emoticon emoticon

CONGRATS to you for being at your lowest now, you've come along way it seems since the loss of your husband. I can't even image what you went thru but so glad you are in a place now that you can have such beautiful thoughts of him. Carry on hon. I'd suggest doing something on your birthday that the 2 of you would have enjoyed together with a group of friends or family. More happy thoughts !!!

I can't say I can relate to anything skinny about myself, I just remember my size 10/12 in high school was considered FAT !!! But it didn't really bother me much then. I was enjoying those days with friends. later in life I rode the weight roller coaster of diets and such. So glad those days are gone now and thankful I've learned to life healthier for my later years.

Pam I am so happy I have come to know you and look forward to meeting you soon. You're doing a great job leading our team too.

They called me tooth pick when I was a kid. Buy a beautiful plant, and put it in a pot to honor your Hubby. Since your memories are good ones, when you look at the plant, then you can always think of him and smile.
You're doing good. Keep hanging in there. I hope your back eases up in time. emoticon

Condolences about your husband and what a blessing to have had such good years/memories. I wasnt overweight as a kid(not skinny)and I think it was constant moving/playing etc. I ate a lot too, so it was hard to learn to have less. Blessings to you :)
