Goal(s) Week of Feb. 5:
1) Run at least 30 minutes, 2 times this week
3) Weight Training 5x this week
4) Lower and achieve new maintenance mid-range of 190; and reduce body fat %
Notes as I start a new week:
I've been kicking butt and taking names at the gym lately. I'm glad I joined the fancier gym and am treating myself to a facility and an experience that I actually love going to. It doesn't hurt that there's a lot of "motivating" eye candy (I worked out to Anderson Cooper recently--name drop!).
I do need to get my weight fluctuations in check. Or maybe it's normal for a guy my size and fitness/activity level to swing 6 -8 pounds in a week? I'm not sure. I seem to hover back at about 195 fairly naturally, and really like how I feel at 190--though keeping that weight takes effort and a lot of determination. I guess all this is short for I'm finding my maintenance groove. Still, any advice is welcomed.
A pleasant side effect of losing weight and getting fit--and one, unfortunately, not often talked about--is an increased sex drive. Many of the benefits of this journey have been physical....but some have also been mental. The confidence I've gained back since becoming more fit has helped to make me feel attractive again--which has had some very positive impacts my bedroom life. Sorry if that's TMI, but it's worth celebrating in my book!
