Midwinter Break

Monday, February 20, 2017

This week is midwinter break for my son. So I get to spend all day with all three kids, all week. Plus, my husband is working 1st shift all week for training. He normally works 3rd shift. Basically this week is all sorts of crazy for me.
Anyways, the weather is nice, so at least I can get the kids out of the house. Unfortunately I'm used to having the car all day to get stuff done. I would have to be desperate to get up before 6am, get all the kids in the car then drive my husband to work. Looks like I'm stuck without a car this week. Luckily we live within walking distance of the grocery store, and remember it's nice out. We can walk if needed. Most likely will tomorrow.
So as long as all goes well I'll be hitting my first goal at the end of the week. Pre-pregnancy weight! Well for my middle child. Nine months on, 37 months off.... that doesn't sound bad. Right? I mean there was another child during that time, so that has to account for something. Right? Please tell me I'm not just crazy.

Well have a good week everyone! Hopefully I keep my sanity, lol!

You are really blessed. I only had one child and wanted more....Enjoy your week. They grow up so fast. Make some memories. Do something special every day.Take a blanket and throw it over a card table to make a tent. Get a large appliance box and make a rocket. Have a Hide and Seek game inside. Teach them to cook and make up crazy names for the food. My son came home from school excited about "Ants on a log"( raisins on PB and celery sticks and said that he wanted "Toads in a Hole" (No idea what it was, but it was something he made up name for ...I used to make Muddy Bottoms with my 4th graders which was oreo cookies with the middle removed and crushed, pudding either white or chocolate, and gummy worms added and sticking out of the "mud". It was a treat that we made together in the school kitchen where other classes could see what we were doing. Proud moment for the class. One teacher made dough with PB which they could play with & eat. Spaghetti art with cooked noodles or jewelry with none cooked noodles. There's tons of things to do.
