Lamp and books

Thursday, February 16, 2017

My sister came for a couple of nights and we had so much fun. I got her set up with one of her rugs to begin hooking again. And then we spent one day using my Sizzix machine making little blank books from old greeting cards of hers. She took home about 10 for little gifts for friends and I gave 10 to the youngest children's Sunday school class and still have a bunch.
Yes that is how many I have left and we recycled some things that won't wind up in garbage.
After I finished the last 2 rugs, my thumbs need a rest so have been working on some embroidered book marks for gifts. Plan to get back to rug hooking today though.
Hubby finished his floor lamp he made using the parts from my old floor lamp and using some deer antlers our oldest son gave him.

Got my 2 heart swaps this past week too. We do this every year but postage has gotten so expensive now so may not do it any longer.
We always add extra surprises.

I have lots of old cards that I just don't want to throw away.. In my seniors group we once trimmed them to give to people to use to give to others. I would like to know more about what you are doing with the cards to make booklets but I do have some idea.
