Slooooow but steady does it (I hope)

Yesterday, I felt slimmer, and then I realized it was because my capris weren't "strangling" my chubby little thighs like they were last week. emoticon It's a small change but I'll take it and rejoice! I've been doing the leg machines at our community gym on a regular basis and even increased the weight yesterday by 10 lbs. emoticon I have to be careful because I've got more than a couple of problems with my spine. (injuries from nursing and falls). Somehow I managed to re-injure my shoulder probably from lifting the ironing board wrong. I'm back to "square one" on that issue.

To be honest-both with you and myself- I have developed a "sweet tooth" that I haven't had in my entire life. Why it chose to show up in my 60s is just weird. Having a husband who can eat anything he wants and not gain but a lb only to lose it the next day doesn't help. He also does all the cooking because he's loves it and has a culinary degree. I've had to ask him to NOT to fill my plate like he does his. I'm not sure why I have to remind him that I am a lot shorter than he is. It should be obvious! emoticon

Today, I will RE-start my shoulder exercises from the beginning and watch that "sweet tooth thing". I will allow the Dove Dark Chocolate Promises because heart disease has taken my parents and grandparents. I always stick to a serving. AND I will increase my water intake.

    I know that feeling with the Capris! Beats the scales for a measure of success. So glad your are back. Is Marigold a new addition? Sugar is still keeping me walking, we've slowed down a bit but my great grandson has re-energized both of us! You can do this! Hugs.

    emoticon on the capris! I just found a pair of pants I haven't been able to wear in a long time and now they fit. Yessss! What a great feeling. I'm giving you a high five! You're right to watch portion sizes. Here's a tip that is worth trying even if it doesn't seem to apply to you. After reading a lot about it I finally decided to give it a try and was amazed at how well it worked. What I did was take and herbal supplement that is supposed to kill Candida Albicans. That is a yeast that lives normally in everyone's bodies but should your digestive track get out of whack then the Candida will go into overgrowth. When it does that it will cause cravings to keep sending it more sugar, the food it loves best. You can probably use any brand listed for the purpose, I used Candida Support from Now. I always keep some on hand and use it if I feel cravings. I was shocked at how much this actually worked the first time I took it. Your cravings will be gone. No I'm not advocating for that product I'm just telling you what I used. Read about it online and try some whether you think you need it or not. It will be worth it.

    OH my Mom went thru that when she was in her 60's -- never was a "sweets person" but once she hit 62, that was it. Couldn't get enough. She's slowed down a little but @ 88, she still eats her fair share! I could not do that either as I am short, so . .. no room for excess junk in the trunk.

    Great NSV that the capris are fitting better! And a few pieces of Dove chocolates can be very satisfying for that sweet tooth!
