Stress, anxiety and food

This week I discovered the benefit of logging meticulously every thing I eat...was getting so discouraged and frustrated with the scale, but then thru observing my logs discovered that a lot of calories were coming via mindless emotional eating :-(
It was an uncomfortable reality and I'm brainstorming what healthy alternatives to food there are too use during times of extra stress in life...
One I've been using this week is gum, and got drinks have always been a "go-to) but they can pack a lot of calories...since is the simple thing of a got drink that helps I switched, as of today to green tea and Stevia...but, still there's times when the anxiety is so high that I feel like I need more...
After the discouragement with it this past week I feel like I'm more determined and aware this time...
