Injured, but lessons learned

So last Sunday my back started to hurt. I didn't really think much of it. Over the next few days the pain got worse and went to my hip. I continued to push myself to reach my goals. Everything became difficult.
Wednesday night my husband said it was enough and I needed to go to a doctor. Thursday morning I did. Turns out I hurt my back. I was given pain killers and muscle relaxers. I was told not to exercise for a few days. I spent the next two days mostly sleeping. Saturday we had my daughters birthday party, my husband and his Aunt did most of the work for me. I usually do everything.
I'm doing better now. Those days of rest reminded me I don't have to push myself so hard every day. Rest can be a good thing.
Being a stay at home mom all the extra sleep I got felt like a little vacation. I'm back to walking, just as much for now. And next time I start to feel back pain I won't ignore it for so long.
