Loss of my best workout buddy

Friday, December 16, 2016

we brought Autumn home as a pup. Born into a litter of 12 she was a Australia / border collie cross, A naughty pup she because a well behaved intelligent dog as she grew. She was my best bud for 14 years. We walked between 2 to 5 miles every day but Saturday. Autumn mourned the loss of our Tawanda an elderly Jack Russel Terrier she was raised with. Now they're both gone. I know there are lots of dogs looking for a good home. But I think it will be a while as I mourn her loss. Broken hearted.. emoticon

So sorry to read of you pain with your loss of Autumn -- I've been there for sure !! After my last Dalmatian, Lucas, had to be put down, it took me 8 years to be able to bring another dog into the house -- and I brought him home last summer -- his photo is on my spark page --- he is a sweetheart for sure. Give yourself the time you need to recover and don't rule out another walking buddy -- someone out there really needs you and will bring you hours of delight !!

I'm so sorry for your loss. I hope you can get back to your walks now that the snow is melted, even if you don't have your walking buddy. Mourn her, but know she would want you to keep walking and be healthy!

I had to put my Golden Retriever down at 17, Best friend I have ever had. She was loyal up to the very second her body gave up. I have never seen or felt such commitment as she had to me. Its taken 5 years to get to where I may be ready to risk the pain again. I have to remember what that loyalty and love was like and know it can happen again, Taffy would want me to have it as I know she would never want me to be without that companionship, even if it cant be her.

So sorry to hear about Autumn. I know how you feel. She sure was a cute dog. She looked very happy. You gave her a loving home, and she will always thank you for that. it will be a while before I adopt again too.

So sorry to read about your loss. We have had many dogs over the years, and 4 have gone to doggie heaven. I have two more dogs now, One collie and a beagle. Give yourself time to heal and when you feel better, you might want to get another pet. God bless you and Merry Christmas! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon Love them all. emoticon

Oh I am so sorry :( I have lost many dogs over the years and have an ungracefully aging 11.5 year old lab. It's so hard. Big hugs!!
