Inflammatory

Tuesday, October 04, 2016

It's been a while.

I have been changing things up.

Anti Inflammatory!

I have been going through many changes. Trying to get this old body working correctly.
Besides P.T. I have added acupuncture and cold laser therapy.

The Cold Laser Therapy comes from a business that is a total wellness business. Much of what they have going there I am not interested in. I put on my blinders and just go for the cold laser. I just can't give much buy-in to what they are up to. We can't control or rather I don't care to try to control every little facet of my life. I also see so many contradictions with their business other than cold Laser.

The cold laser is good. I knew that from when this person worked for my chiropractor.

Acupuncture comes from a Chinese Doctor. She is a total holistic Chinese medicine doctor.

Both of these health professionals tell me that I have so much inflammation in my body. Well I guess I can tell that. At times, in the past year I have felt like a disintegrating ship.

Part of what I am working on learning, is the anti inflammatory way of eating. Besides anti inflammatory foods my Chinese Doctor has asked me to try to keep all "nightshades" out of my diet. The main ones here are tomato, potato, bell peppers, eggplant. Also, blueberries. The exclusion of nightshades puts a different twist on it. We all know that blueberries are famous for being anti inflammatory. They are also a nightshade and so I need to stay away from them. Hot peppers which we know to contain capsaicin are in the nightshade family. So even though we know that capsaisin is a strong anti inflammatory, it is a nightshade, so I need to not use it, at this time.

This is to happen for 3 months. I have a good resolve to stick with this.
Why not? Nothing else has helped. Nothing to lose.

There is a nice app that you can get to check out the IF rating of foods. It is called simply IF tracker.

Interesting read. I have chronic inflammation due to RA. Might be worth trying this diet for me. Can't hurt. Thanks.
