Walking Puppies
Thursday, September 29, 2016
I have two lab/hound mix puppies (5 months, about 50 pounds, so pretty big dogs) that I walk twice daily: Colby and Jack. Tonight, one of these babies (Colby) found something to pick up on the walk. I am always telling him to "leave it", or "drop it". He rarely listens. But I could hear him crunching it and I was thinking about what it could be, and didn't want him to have it. After much negotiation, I used my t-shirt as a sort of glove to get it out of his mouth.
It was a flat frog, and I now had frog guts on my shirt. I was so grossed out, I was tempted to come home. I hate that stuff, and I did embarrass myself by making quite a fuss.
I think the fuss startled Colby and Jack, because they were easier to walk after that. :)
