It's been a long time!

I knew back in 2012, when I first discovered SparkPeople and shed 40 lbs (!), that maintenance wouldn't be easy... I knew that 27 years of fast food and bad habits would be hard to shake- and they are, even four years down the road. Things are okay- my weight is healthy and I am more active today than I was in my teens or 20s, but still I struggle.

I'm back. I've tried intermittent fasting, the Whole30 (still a believer, but dang if it isn't tough to have a life), and just being a reasonable human (like, don't eat half a pizza, just 2.5 pieces!!). However, it seems like tracking and blogging is what works best.

I have a goal of getting BACK to my goal weight in time for a work conference in mid November... That is about 15 pounds in 10 weeks. To do this, I am tracking my food and will walk/run 4 times a week, plus some fun activity (like a hike or swimming) on the weekend. Totally doable.

Now, to ignore the doughnuts in the break room, candy bars in the main office, and cookies someone left on my desk (really!?)... emoticon
