First off, I am 6 months pregnant!
My last post was at the beginning of the year and I was so motivated to be back on track. I was doing great. Eating well, working out 3 times a week, even with my stressful and demanding job. Then at the end of February, I started getting ridiculously tired. Finally my SO suggested that I go to the doctor. I have always had lower iron (not quite anemic) and my size and color of my red blood cells have always been a little out of whack, but this felt different. I pay a friend of mine come over twice a month and help me clean my house. I was talking to her about it one morning and she asked if I was pregnant. Well, it was definitely a possibility, but it had never even crossed my mind. I had not been on birth control for 2 years, so I had pretty much conceded that it wasn't going to happen. After she left I ran to Walgreens to get a test and holy canoli batman it said I was, and very pregnant at that. When my SO got home I told him, but I still didn't believe it myself. He asked if I had another test. Well, of course I bought a multi pack so I planned on taking one the next morning. That one of course gave the same result.
Then came the worrying. I am 33, this is my first, what are the risks, I didn't even have an OB/GYN in San Antonio....
Luckily, I had just so happened to change my insurance to the "have a baby for $25" plan at work in January. Yes, you read that right. First appointment is $25 and the rest is paid at 100%. Crazy right? It's kind of expensive, but well worth it.
So, all the planning started and then came my nephew. I wont go into all the crazy details, but my nephew moved in with us from Dallas in April. It's been so much fun having him down here with us, but it is more responsibility and more "stuff" to do.
So, 6 months pregnant and a 5 year old. I will try and do a better job at keeping up to date with this thing.
Hope everyone has an amazing Saturday!
