Big Thunderstorm and the 4th of July

Happy 4th of July everyone!
We hosted a big (for us) party on Saturday for our local friends. There were about 14 people and we served lunch. I think every one had a good time. Today, my mom, brother and SIL are coming for lunch. We are having the same menu, so it's going to be really simple to pull everything together.
Yesterday afternoon, we had a very sudden severe thunderstorm with high winds. I had just gotten in the bathtub when it started. I got out right away, but by the time I was able to look out the window, our big umbrella (which was open) on our deck and blown out of it's hole on the big table it covers and had flown up over the top of the roof of our house. It landed on the roof on the other side of the house and just stayed put (by then it had closed itself). I'm not sure about the roof yet. It's hard to see part of it. I hope there's no damage. We just replaced the roof about 3 years ago. That umbrella is really heavy and the table where it normally resides is right in front of floor-to-ceiling windows. We were lucky it didn't break a window as it took off in flight!
The wind and rain didn't last long, maybe 15 minutes, but it was fast and furious. Fast severe thunderstorms are typical in the summer where we live on the Cumberland Plateau. I don't usually keep that umbrella open for that reason, but this storm beat me to the punch of getting it down before the winds came up. Everything else was okay here.
I'm still kind of amazed about the whole thing this morning.
