Can I be clear here, I am not recommending this diet I am just trying it and reporting on how I get on. I have seen my doctor and will be seeing him again in 6 weeks. I will monitor myself regularly. If you want to follow such a strict diet you should talk to your doctor. Also my husband is going to keep a close eye on me for any signs of hypo. Fasting blood glucose 140
Weight: 77.9 kg or 171.6 lbs - lost 3 lbs
Waist measurement 42 inches (was 44)
Insulin given last night 37 units - kept it the same as I decided too early to reduce
Calories yesterday: 780
Breakfast: blueberry and green tea smoothie - Calories 100
Lunch; Chicken, pepper and fennel salad Calories 200
It was a bit of a shock when I got on the scales this morning. I am so used to seeing '79' that my mind registered 79.7 and I thought I had gained it all back. When I looked again and saw it was 77.9 I danced around the bathroom. I haven't seen a 77 for nearly 2 years.
Dinner: Skinny chilli with yogurt Calories 460
10 gram square of 75% dark chocolate Calories 50
Evening blood glucose 91 - very good
Total Calories 810
