It should read to get it off, but keep it off is fine....that is pounds. I have HIT PLATEAU....
I'm sure most of us, who work hard to get the pounds off, know what that means. But for those who don't, here are the facts that I have learned as a result of coming up against this literal wall that will not move for at least a little while. First and foremost, DO NOT get discouraged. It is kind of like a DO NOT FEED THE BEARS sign. It will be at this point, for most, that the towel will be thrown in, as the scale refuses to budge downward, no matter that you are doing everything right. You are tracking every food item put in your mouth, drinking water like a camel, exercising your buns off and your one caveat, looking downward at the scale....no budge, which in your mind, is zero, nada, zip, no reward for your effort. You just hang your head down, and try to figure out "Why me, why am I not losing a single pound, or why did that scale of poundage go up one pound?". Do not lose heart, Do not be discouraged, Do not give up hope...This is like the Twilight Zone...the Plateau..... Your body is resetting for future loss. It may take a week going through this, or two or more... keep pushing through the wall of Despair and do not give in to it. I have been there, before and for me it is usually every 3rd week...so week 3, week 6, week 9....sometimes it is two weeks before I see pounds drop again. For those, like myself, who have much to lose to arrive at goal weight in the not too distant (6-12 months) give yourself time and keep on keeping on. I'm writing this more for myself, to not be discouraged as I am right there, now, but perhaps it will encourage others on the journey, as well....Take Courage and Keep on Tracking.... Joshua 1:9 is of Great Encouragement.
