For those of you that don't know me well enough to have heard me whine about it. I lost 40 pounds in my first year on Sparkpeople. After faithfully losing every week a round of antibiotics brought my weight loss to a standstill. I thought it would be short-lived but all of last year I only lost 5 pounds. I still didn't let myself get discouraged. I'm 61 years old and disabled. Mobility is a big issue for me so I'm pretty much sedentary. 25 pounds from goal the going gets harder so I just figured I'd keep doing what I was doing and eventually the weight would come off. THEN a month ago I started having small weight gains. I've had weight gains for 4 weeks in a row. OK it's only 3 pounds over a month but I'm exercising More and keeping my calories between 1200 and 1300 calories most days. I never go over. I was up 1.2 this morning. What in the Sam Hill is going on?
As others have suggested - take this up with your doctor and try to drink more water. I would also double check your portions by using measuring cups etc. I find when I eyeball my portions they tend to get bigger...
Did that candy make the garbage?---- I put mine into 2 ziplock bags--will take it in for the Grandkids--when they are sick of their loot from Halloween-- better them than me-- Lol-Lynda 1487 days ago
Do you take many medications? That is my problem with weight. I pretty much am at a stand still and have been for quite awhile. When you see the doctor, ask if any of the meds you take now are contributing to your issues. Wishing you all the best. 1656 days ago
Muscle weighs more then fat. Go to the doctor and ask them to calculate you BMI. Or you can start measuring your arms, waist, ect. And calculate your own. Is your clothing tighter? 1656 days ago
