Eggs have salt?

Monday, April 04, 2016

Wow. I just learned something new today. I bought an eggwich maker at st vincent de paul. So I made me an egg, sausage sandwich this morning. The calories was 500 while Jimmy Dean's is 410. But, I figured my version would be lower salt. Nope. I figured 670 while sparkpeople says 700. Jimmy Dean's lists the salt content as 580. So the salt content is higher on mine too. I might look at some of the frozen sausage that are microwavable. I'll drop the cheese too because it didn't add much more flavor. While calculating the salt content, my egg carton said that eggs have 80 mg of sodium! I guess salt is really every where.

Lol I had no idea eggs had sodium. You could also try egg beaters. They have a southwestern flavor that is awesome!

Yes sodium is everywhere no way to get away from it. I just don't add salt to nothing trying to keep my sodium down
