The last two weeks haven't been great. I had a stomach thing. I had some personal stressors. I just haven't made it out to do much exercise. I've done some, but not my usual. I've stayed consistent with no sugar for the most part, but I did have a few slices of pizza one night. I know most pizza has some processed sugar, so I fudged it a little. I also have eaten some tortilla chips, and not feeling super great about that. "Some" feels like an understatement. When you're tummy is upset, sometimes the fruit and veggies aren't so appealing. Even though there is no sugar in those, it's food that does me no favors. It doesn't make me feel good and it adds little, if any, nutritional value. I deserve food that nourishes my body. Besides, I stopped doing corn after watching Food Inc. I don't trust that GMO corn. So I'm declaring today the day that I get back on my exercise and super clean eating path.
On the plus side, a coworker showed me a picture of us in October and said, "wow, look at how much thinner you look now". Pants that didn't fit so great at the start of year, are still loose. My diet hasn't been horrible, just a few bumps in the road.
I have two months to get my butt ready for the tinker bell half marathon, which I'm doing with my daughter. It happens to be on her birthday which falls on Mother's Day this year. It's what she wanted to do. I love when I get to do healthy stuff with my kids. This morning I went with my two kids out for a 3 mile walk to and from Starbucks. Whatever motivates them to move.. Now that the time change has happened, we soon will be reinstating the weekly beach walk and sunset watch. All last spring and summer we did a weekly beach walk which ended with a sunset. It was lovely.
so to recap, no huge strides the last two weeks, but pulling it together now.
