So it looks like I'm going on a cruise over spring break with a friend. This will be my first cruise. I was warned today by the friend I walk with at lunch that cruises can ruin a diet. When I went to Italy, I told myself "you're in Italy, and you may never be back.. Eat what you want". By day three I was, not to be crude, backed up. My body has aclamated to my high fiber diet. Pizza every night made my stomach ache and bloat like crazy. Nothing was moving through me. It was stuck. So I had to up the fruits and veggies, drink lots of water, and forgo some of the carbs.. But my love of carbs continued months after Italy. I had a very difficult time getting myself on track again.. So I'm sticking to my clean eating normalcy even on my spring break cruise. I'm sticking to my no sugar for the year pledge. I am sure I can make it work.

You can do it because you will have tons of healthy choices on the ship, too! You can also ask for the chef to prepare things your way like steaming veggies, you'll be fine! How fun!

Good for you! However, denying yourself those nice meals might backfire. There are plenty of ways to earn exercise on a cruise. And one day having a special meals will not hurt. Enjoy your trip have have lots of fun.
