A reinforcement schedule

I told myself no sugar for all of 2016 (this excludes your naturally accuring sugar in fruits and vegetables), and so I'm not eating bread, dressings, candies... I even did away with fake sugar (except for cough drops when I'm sick). So I made it past month one and I rewarded myself with a massage. My running friend (back in the day, I'd do stuff like get pie and coffee with my friends.. Now I have walking friends, running friends, hiking friends..all of Them really just friends-but it's strange how it revolves around fitness.. Still some drinking friends -who will make me walk the next day even with a hang over- vodka soda water I've allowed on occasion).. Tangent sorry... My running friend said I need to think of 12 rewards to get through the year. I already wrote a blog thinking of a few ideas for next months reward. 1. Massage for January ✔️ 2. (My friend threw this out as a plan, and then retracted it.. Then said she is working on it again.. But if I do this, I will count it as my reward- may need a back up plan) 3 day cruise to Mexico over my spring break- February ✔️ 3. Cute running skirts for the tinker bell run that is in May-March ✔️ 4. Day trip to the Getty museum or LACMA-April 5. New running socks-May✔️ 6. Tea at the Huntington library in a fancy dress-June 7. Something new for the trip I'm trying to plan for August (looking at the Caribbean)- july 8. Dinner somewhere fancy, like I've always wanted to go to the bonaventure hotel in LA because I've heard it has a spectacular view of LA or I've heard the queen Mary has some nice restaurants-August 9. Start of new semester and I'll be broke after school shopping for the kids.. How about a beach day of doing nothing or a nice hike-September 10. New bose headphones. I lost mine and the cheap ones aren't as good, plus Black Friday is around the corner -October 11. Maybe a gondola ride through the Naples canals to see Christmas lights- November 12- New Year's Eve party-December These may change but at least I have a reinforcement plan. And I think I should make 10 miles minimum a week as part of this deal to myself. ... To be honest, I feel good, so I have intrinsic motivation, so this Is more of an excuse to do fun stuff each month. :)
