Back In My Groove

Thursday, February 18, 2016

I did around forty minutes of wii fit last night. This morning, I ran four miles instead of my usual two. I'm feeling good again. Tonight I'm meeting a friend for yoga.

Last night, I prepped my breakfast and lunch before I went to bed to ensure Id have enough time to run this morning.

This morning I realized my golden retriever is probably good for walks, but I think I'm not running with her anymore. In dog years she is like 75 so perhaps I shouldn't be getting frustrated that she has been slow lately. She use to be up to do 8 and 10 mile runs, but the last 5 years 2-3 miles seems to be her max. This morning she was constantly getting in my way. It's sad because several years ago, she'd pull me along. :( so I guess I run alone and take an extra walk in the evening for her.

She has been my running buddy since the beginning of this journey... :(

Good for you for recognizing that it may be time for your dog to slow down. I think she has already beaten the odds for her breed of dog, so appreciate every day you have with her and enjoy your walks together.

Great you get your workout and walks with your doggie, too. Aging does sick, especially with our beloved pets. Keep up the great work!

I'm glad you love your pooch and recognize she isn't as sprintee as she once was. Glad to see you have gotten your mojo back. Keep trekking on. emoticon emoticon
