Embarrassed or Proud

Monday, February 15, 2016

Finally, finally! I'm back to working out. We had snow yesterday and it was foggy and cold this morning, but I had set out my workout clothes last night and vowed I wouldn't leave my bedroom this morning till I had them on!

It's been so long, I'm starting over and am testing a sore knee so starting slow and easy. I did a wonderful balance and flexibility class, then walked 3 laps around the track at my gym this morning. I used to knock out 3 miles so this is a major set-back for me! Gotta build up strength and endurance again. Not sure if I'm feeling more embarrassed or more proud of myself.

Tomorrow, my plan is to do a water workout. I am so blessed to have a membership at a terrific workout facility less than 10 minutes from my house!

I stopped at the grocery store after my workout, and ran into my instructor there. She said see you Wednesday! Of course I plan on going again and told her so! I left the store with some yummy veggies, even some bokchoy, something I've never bought before, I found a recipe for chicken soup that calls for it, so I thought I'd try it! Plus I love those Thomas Everything Bagel Thins, and they were on sale!

I think I'll hold my head up and go with proud!

PROUD is what you should be. It's doesn't matter that you got off track, what matters is that you picked yourself up and continued to put one foot in front of the other.

I'm so glad that you are back and on your way.

Definitely be proud! It sucks to have to build up strength again but you will get there! You did well and are motivated, which is huge!

Absolutely be proud! Getting back to exercise or healthy eating seems hardest when we've been away from it. Great work! Enjoy your soup! Trying new veggies is a goal for me too.

Absolutely! I have to remind myself of the same thing. I didn't get out of shape overnight and I won't get fit in a day either. It's a process.
