Thrilled with My Progress

Wednesday, February 10, 2016

I made it through 1 whole week of being on track with my eating and I'm beyond thrilled! It's been SO long since I've been able to say that and it feels fantastic! I've gotten in plenty of fruits and vegetables, cooked some healthy entrees, brought a healthy appetizer to a Super Bowl party, looked ahead at a restaurant menu to make a healthy choice and have gotten in at least 8 cups of water in every day! BAM! How's that for week 1 progress!

All my effort paid off with a 2.4 pound loss! Thrilled!

My plan is to start adding planned fitness minutes next week. My goal is to do water aerobics 2 days and attend 2 balance/flexibility classes next week.

Let me hear about something you're thrilled with on your Spark journey when you respond to my blog. I want to support you, as you do me!

Nice job, Susie. I'm doing the doggy paddle, quite beside myself actually. I'm just so sick of weight loss and food consuming my every thought. It’s debilitating. I actually looked at my insurance options for surgical weight loss yesterday. I’m going to keep working at it this year and reassess options next year. I just can’t go on like this. This constant distraction is taking away from relationships I should be enjoying. I don’t know if surgery is the answer. Perhaps, I would just find something else to obsess over, but I don’t think so. I really want to live my life and enjoy my family and that isn’t happening right now.

Sorry to rain on your parade. I’m really glad for you! You are off to a great new start! Maybe your progress will be the nudge I need.

Woohoo! So happy for you! You're doing great!

Personally I'm thrilled that I'm continually moving forward after ending 2015 on not such a great note, nutrition wise.

emoticon I have just started the Mayo Clinic Diet which I started because I have a heart blockage. This diet involves making changes. I have only been on it for a week and I am already starting to see a difference on the scale and in my clothes. I hope to follow this for the rest of my life.

WTG, it can be difficult at first. I'm just now getting back into the fitness groove since having my baby in Nov. A bit hard trying to get some workout in, but I do what I can. Every little helps. Can't wait for her to be a bit bigger so she can join in and it won't be so hard to fit it in. LOL emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
