Please Mini Me!

Wednesday, February 03, 2016

I heard that expression used today.

I had to blink at first.

Then it hit me and I laughed...it was like please make me mini-er.
We all know that we have to do that ourselves, but it was cute anyway.

and for some reason it then made me think of mini hearts, so of course!

I just had a few things I wanted to share today.

On Coffee...
A dear friend here at work retired last week. She was the one who always kept half and half creamer in the fridge to share with everyone. Well it was a downfall of mine. I had a hard time resisting and I may as well be honest, I didn't (much).
I will miss my friend here at work, but I won't miss her creamer. I will change this up a bit and bring a chug bottle of whole milk in, to share for creamer. Whole milk works fine for a creamer and is so much lighter and natural than almost any other low calorie creamer.

On taking a few weeks off exercise...
Don't do it. I took off a few weeks. First I took off because of extreme cold, then I had the flu, then I had lingering mucous chest cough. Well I went back again on Monday. I have muscles that are so sore and constantly crying for me to stretch them. Not worth it.

On sidebar ads for really cute clothes (some plus size) that seem ridiculously inexpensive...
If they seem to good to be true, they are. The end of last summer I ordered a really cute looking, sort of peasant/gypsy looking skirt from one of them for around $10. Good thing it was only $10. and as long as I waited for it, I wasn't going to even attempt a return. It got donated and to this day I still wonder about our debit card getting hacked not too long after that. Now I am seeing sidebar ads for a place called Fashion Mia. Really, really cute looking clothes for really, really low prices. I googled reviews for the company, even though I think I know. Well not going there either.

On food storage you can carry...
My favorite way to bake, serve, microwave, store, freeze leftover soups or one serving casseroles.
These two kinds of Corning ware bowl and mug.

The Grab-it

and the Pop-Ins Soup Mug.

I know you can still get these at the outlets and they are on Amazon and even ebay.
I love these things. The Grab it is so great to empty out a pot of soup into several grab its, and put in the freezer for a quick grab to take to work for lunch. I haven't froze too much in the mug because I worry about the handle breaking, but you can store in the fridge and also it makes a great "Egg Mugg" mug.

On planning for Super Bowl...
I am now looking forward to Super Bowl Sunday (which I didn't want to do anything for the game after the way the Packers played in the play-offs). Our sons want to come over for the game and they want to do our traditional Super Nachos (sigh). So I am exploring lighter versions. Did you all see the Kalyn's Kitchen Taco dip with the mini sweet bell peppers for dippers?
I am thinking I should make my favorite Stacked Roasted Vegetable Enchilada dish as an alternative choice. It is a lot of work, but healthy and lean. Worth it.
Here is a link to that recipe if you are curious.

otherwise hum-drum Wednesday around here, sitting in the snow again.
