Post Vacation Pounds

This past weekend I had the pleasure of taking a trip to New York city with a bunch of friends. We had an absolute blast! I had so much anxiety about what I was going to eat and potentially undoing some of my recent success. I don't know how other people successfully eat healthy on vacation, but eventually I gave in. I did try to make some healthy choices like skipping mocha-frappa-whatevers and a few desserts but I gave in when this was put on our table...

I also tried to make the most out of all the walking and partying we did. I think I walked about 4 miles in high heel boots (my knees still hurt) and I danced my butt off at the 80's cover band we saw (they were awesome & yes that's me on stage with my arms in the air).
All in I gained 5lbs, but I've already lost 3 of them so I'm hoping this was mostly water gain. I've decided not to beat myself up about it. The pounds are certainly not a benefit to my health but the time to decompress and share laughs with friends is huge for my mental health. I'm committed to this for the long term and am back to eating healthy!
