New England Weather

Monday, January 04, 2016

It's been an unusual winter weather-wise here in Massachusetts. It's been wonderful to hike in December without snow, but somewhat off-putting to see blooms on plants during spring-like temperatures. Here are some of my November/December hiking pictures:

These pictures are from a few local trails in the wilderness on a large tidal river. I'm lucky to live in a town with lots of conservation land for hiking.

As I was plagued with a cold, I was unable to hike for this week. Decided to take my cranky self over to the ocean yesterday, as it was supposed to be the last reasonably mild day before a cold snap. Here are those vistas:

And...Oh what a difference a day makes! Snow, shoveling and very cold weather. This was from earlier in the day. It's still piling up, so I'll have to go out again soon.

Hope you're all having a wonderful day!

What beautiful pictures! Now I have to ask if the snow stayed? Here we are having a weird winter. No snow for Christmas but since then we have had a few inches but it has turned cold. As long as the sun is out I don't care. LOL
