Went to the zoo yesterday

On election day in our state most of the schools close as the buildings are used as voting precincts.

So, off to the zoo I went with a five year old. She got to choose where we went--merry go round, train ride (we didn't get the back seat facing outward and I didn't think to ask her if she would like to wait a ride to see if we could get in the front of the line.

The weather was great and we had fun.

I didn't plan my food well enough as I didn't know where to pace the food and the location and our speed, so I was pretty carb heavy and I didn't feel that great on the carbish foods--but this happened so that I will carry some protein and fruit and veggies with me. I can learn this. Next time!!!!
