from a past blog, I wondered what other carbs mean on the box of shredded wheat. And the best answer I received is that it means net carbs (Carbs-fiber equals net carbs). So intead of saying net carbs, they said other carbs. How can a bunch of straw, which I use to really love, have so many carbs?
When I was at the dr's office after my A1c went from 7.1 to 7.4, the dr discovered that I hadn't been taking two of my four metformin pills a day, and so as of last week, I'm changing that. It's also a good time because my schedule is flexible, so for a while I'm going to have the metformin shuffle, and I don't go far from the bathroom. I'm sure it will change soon, but as of right now, it doesn't feel as if I"m going to have my leash removed from the throne anytime soon.
I also am simply not hungry, so ok, I'll go with that for a while. I renewed a book from the library, Diabetic Solutions and the list of veggies on page 151 has a list of green veggies, like brussel sprounts, I'm told is very good for me. Ok, few carbs, that makes life ok.
I have also been craving fruit, ao, that in itself isn't going to bother my digestive track, so let's go, and that's what I've been doing. I've enjoyed lots of fruit.
My glucose numbers like this morning is 109. And that I like. So, now I"m going to discover and tinker with the carbs and how they affect my sugar count.
I'e only had bread once his week, and I've noticed that I can smell things better. I use to go into this ancient (well 1950's restaurant) but I don't like the smell as I enter it. If I sit near a salad bar in a restaurant, I can determine the indivivual spices, it's really cool.
I bought the brussel sprounts, and made a big deal about my trip to the grocery store, and a single serving is 6 heads. ok. that I like.
a goal that I have is to have lower a1c's and now I need to experiment to find out how to do it.
