Day 14: Nose to the Grindstone

Weight in time!

Me: 143 - 142.3 - .7 pounds over all (0.1 gain from last week)
Ginger: 14.3 - 13.9 - .4 pounds over all ( 0.8 gain from last week)
Renni: 17.2 - 16.6 - .6 pounds over all (0.2 loss from last week)

I'm actually really relieved Ginger gained those .8 pounds back. That was waaaaay too fast. And it kind of shows how losing all that water weight in the first week or two of a diet change isn't permanent change. A healthy moderately overweight cat should be losing .1 pounds a week. A very (very :( ) obese cat could lose up to .2 with the weight loss eventually slowing down.)

I'm not surprised I didn't "lose" anything; I always "gain" 2-3 pounds around that TOM. It will come back off.

For the next couple weeks I need to lay off the fitness challenges and really get my behind in gear for my next board exam. I do take standing breaks every 20 minutes (minimum) but I can still end up studying around five hours (ten yesterday.) Yesterday I went and bought healthy study snacks like salmon, strawberries and a garlic cesar salad so I wouldn't just eat chips and coffee all day.

Still meditating and journaling in the morning and I got my apartment super clean! Then I started studying. It's amazing how I can leave for the morning and there will be an empty sink and I'll get home and it will be full, no food left over for me and it will stay that way until I empty it again. AMAZING.

    Glad you are taking those standing breaks - hope you can get a couple steps in too to keep that major muscle oxygenated!
