today, I had some choices

when I overslept and would have needed to walk in late to the yoga class, I decided to eat breakfast and go to a Barrs class (like fast yoga and stand like a ballerina) which I did. It has been a while that I did the class and I have a ways to go to really keep up with the class, yet, I could see progress from the last time that I was there.
That is where exercising is really rewarding. I get stumped that I cannot do more, then my body surprises me and it moves another millimeter, and I think, oh, my!
Then I realized I needed to run an errand and after I did that, I realized I was close to a local y that had no classes on Friday in the pool, so I had time to swim a few laps. Well, I got to the locker room and I realize that someone called me on Wednesday and I had not returned their call. I thought I could make it quick, when she answered I realized that there was too much echo in the cell phone so I went to the lobby and discovered that it was too crowded. So I darted into the glass enclosed yoga room and we chatted. There my Wed yoga instructor saw me through the window and opened the door and challenged me to workout with her upstairs. I said sure and ended the phone call as quickly as I could.
What was nice about the two of us working together was that she could monitor me and give me better instruction on how to align my body where I could better feel the stretch. There was a couple of times that I didn't think my body would stretch any farther, she showed me how to use my breath to exert some soft pressure. I appreciate what she did.
