Checking in

Tuesday, July 28, 2015

I still am having trouble with the internet in our room. To get online I stand outside the room to connect and put the laptop on the kitchen counter and pull up a chair. Don't know how long it will work. It has been a productive week and it is only Tuesday. Got us on the housing list. Don't know how long it will take. Listening to 8 hours of briefings yesterday and didn't fall asleep. I did get in 12000 steps yesterday. Not a big surprise there. Today has been very productive, 4 hours of briefings that included one on terrorism and one on driving safety. I about fell sleep during driving safety. Got my Italian drivers license renewed and got a new dependent ID card. Now I'm back at our room trying to cool off and relax some before I fix a tv dinner.

I also talked to both kids. My son graduated from Army ROTC leadership camp today. I wish I could have been there. My daughter's eye surgery yesterday was successful. She could see out of her left eye. It was prefect but it was something, it is better than forever seeing a black spot.

I got up and walked yesterday and today at 6 am before it got hot. this morning the smell was ungodly and I thought I was going to be sick. But I got my walk in. Tomorrow is more briefings and I will walk before hand.

Have a great day!

Good to hear that you are settling in. Here's hoping you don't have to wait on the housing list for too long.

    emoticon on the steps!

Hope the rest of the briefings go by quickly, and you get settled into your own house soon.
