2015 Monthly Weight Loss April Update

It's been 5 long months since I have written my last blog. It has been a very tiring, snowy, cold winter here on Long Island(NY). It's bad enough when winter comes around to begin with but it was that much worse this year.
I'm not going to sit here and recap the past 5 months. Wife is still feeling the pain from her car accident last May 1st. Kids are both well and doing well in school.
I really wanted to start getting healthy again months ago but I just couldn't do. My mindset wasn't there. And with this elongated Winter looming it hasn't been easy. However, I know with a Disney vacation/plane trip in just over 6 weeks I NEEDED to start losing the weight in order just to be comfortable.
I don't know my specific starting weight because the scale read "Err" but I figured it out to be 407lbs. In the last 11 days I have been able to lose 17lbs or 4.2% and now weigh 390lbs.
I now have 4 1/2 weeks until my vacation to continue to lose. I already feel so much better, especially at night while sleeping.
For those following me or those new to following me, there is no secret. Eat better and exercise. I've done before and I will do it again. I do wish the weather would start warming up very soon. It's not an excuse but it is a hindrance.
