Tough Day

Sitting here unable to sleep, waiting for my teenager to get home. He has very little respect for me and doesn't answer my texts, which is very disturbing to me. This has been going on for awhile and it is causing me a lot of stress.
Got a haircut today and it looks pretty good. So one thing to be happy about.

I went through it.. and I won.. I had a daughter that thought it was so funny .. She was to be in by 9 and if she was working that is what was determined.. I was having a fit so we locked the door at 9:15 then at 12 she started to ring the door bell.. after about ten minutes.. We let her in so we fixed her wagon.. The next night we stayed up and waited.. she came in about 10.. I said your late and she laughed.. My husband went out and put the club on her car.. I told her your not driving the car for two weeks.. She laughed.. everyone was rushing to get to the bus and hubby out the door.. and then I was the last one.. I said you better call a friend or get ready to walk I think you missed the bus... Call a friend.. She was laughing.. The next five minutes was priceless.. she went to the car.. I locked the door and she was kicking and screaming and even the amount of pressure trying to get it off was unbelievable... and it stayed there for two week.. We are passing it down to her for Christmas.. I have a note asking Did We Make A Point... I fixed the problem.. One hard headed girl now the Mom to four.. I am thinking she has two that just may get the club... Laugh but it worked... Maybe this will bring a smile to your face and Maybe it will give you something to think about.. They will know Mom has the best interests in heart.. not now but in years to come.. In His Love and Grace Just Me

My children are all grown now, but I remember those difficult teenage years. All I can say is my two kids are now my best friends. If you had told me that when they were teenagers I would have laughed. There is hope. Just keep loving them and remind them your the parent. Saying some prayers for you and your son. OMG I open SP and then when to 'Your Not Alone' team and saw a new blog and it was like reading my thoughts! I am sitting here also unable to sleep waiting for my teenager to come home. I have been texting him and he is not answering! I got a hair cut also today. Sometimes I think he doesn't respect me by they way he talks to me. So, you are not alone out there tonight. There are other parent's out there going through the same thing!

Teenagehood... I'm not looking forward to it. I remember being there, I just don't remember being disrespectful to my parents. I didn't do the things most kids did. good luck!
