What I want

I want to write. I want to read. I want to play with my dog. I want to sit in the sunshine and nap. I want to work in the garden. I want to make love to my partner and then sleep. I want to ride my bike. I want to eat and drink wine and watch The Mentalist. I want to visit my best friend. I want to ride horses and swim in my friends' pool before relaxing in their hot tub. I want to laugh and give and receive hugs. I want to talk. I want to be silent. I want to be with my family. I want to be alone.

I want to choose and be respected for whatever my choices may be. I want to be heard and I want to be listened to. I want to be understood. I want to have meaningful conversations intertwined with silly ones, filled with laughter and smiles and crinkled eyes.

I want to stop feeling jealous of the past - whether it be my own or my boyfriend's. I want what everyone wants, and some things no one else does. I think we're all that way.

    This is brilliant. I'm a firm believer that the first step to getting what you want is to be very clear about what, exactly, that is. Don't feel like this has to be your complete list either.

    A next step can be to make note whenever you DO get what you want ... even a portion of it. I'm talking about having a gratitude list. There are a ton of benefits from keeping one (either publicly or privately) but one of my favorite reasons for doing it is to remind myself that desires are full-filled and wishes are granted with startling frequency.

    Hello Anamchara welcome to blogging, Your off to a good start. Spark People has become my support groups for you see I am a recovering grease-holic. Yes, it is true if you can "fry it" I can "eat it".

    Moderation is a very important key to being successful in our journey. One day at a time....Look for small victories...Look for non-scale successes.
