The Weekend (5&6)

The weekend turned out great! I am not counting (yet) merely keeping an eye on what I'm eating as well as the portions. I'm very proud that I stuck with it this weekend and balanced nutrition with exercise. I didn't work out Saturday or Sunday, but I ate well. I feel good!
I finally stepped on the scale this weekend. I weigh 209. It's still not where I started (220). Even though 209 is not far from 220, I'm still glad it's not 220. I needed to know how much I weigh so that I can track progress. I have mentioned before that I have never taken the slow and steady path so I almost feel like I won't see any results but we'll just have to see.
I took selfies last night for the first time in so long. I'm not lean and trim like in the ones I took before I started gaining, but I forced myself to see the beauty in the pictures either way. I'm happy that I did. I do understand that this is a journey that prospers from self love.
