So, I started my new job this week and survived. I am working loads more than I have in months, so it has been a bit of a shock to my system. In terms of eating, I have done well this week (except for last night at my celebratory dinner-more on that later) but my exercise minutes were really low this week. The trouble is, that in my previous job, I worked very part time and I wore trainers to work so I could go and walk during my lunch. I'm in heels now which makes it tough to get out and do good walking. I did go out each day for a walk each lunch, but I have a few nasty blisters to show for it. I could bring my trainers, but have to wear a uniform and it all looks a bit silly. I suppose I really shouldn't care about that so much. Mental note to work on my foot vanity.
Last night we had a celebratory dinner which was nice. We had take out Indian-but I chose something really indulgent and naughty! It tasted nice, but my body was so unhappy that I put something that rich and calorie packed into it. Ick! But, I'm actually happy that I felt the way I did after because it just serves as a reminder that I am not meant to eat that way. It was only one meal, so I'm already back on track. I had a nice, long walk today and am happily munching away on some dried mango (without sugar). Now, if only I could figure out how I can possibly add a few more hours to my day so I can manage to get all the bits done before I fall into bed each night!
