Peeling Out From Under the Papers

With the aid of a health coach, I managed to get all my personal tax paperwork done early this year - I even started before the end of December. Usually, my list of things I need to do is so long that I get overwhelmed and procrastinate until I absolutely have to do it, then spend a day or two non-stop in my office. All that makes me dread doing it the next year which adds to the procrastination. This year I feel like a million bucks because I started early and now all I need to do is box old papers, then do the paperwork for the non-profit. I do have to manage my time, but I don't have to do everything at once - all I had to do was spend a little time on it each weekend. The health coach helped me look at my list in a new way and made me really think about how I could break it down into more manageable pieces - just like the way they recommend we break down our goals into short-term and long-term goals.
