fitbit? or no fitbit?

I have a bunch of friends that have gotten fitbits and they all seem to love them but no one I know has had them for longer than a couple months. I don't want to spend $100 or more that I really don't have if it really isn't worth it. If anyone here has/had one I would love to hear from you!
I am feeling frustrated with my lack of movement with the cold, snowy...not fun weather we have been having...I love walking outdoors and this is soooo not helping.

    I have one, its a smaller one that I wear on my pants not the wrist one. I love mine, it sinks with my phone for SP and that helps a lot with the activities. It also counts how many calories it takes away from tracking. I can hide it in my cloths so I wear it all the time and no one knows. I have had to change the battery once in the year I have had it and it was just 2 days ago lol. I would seriously do your homework and see what you want in one and try it out. It is pricey but I think you will benefit from one.

    I've had one for just about a month now, and I really like it. It makes it easier to see how you're doing during the day with your movement and that motivates you to move more. I'm a runner, so on the days I run, I easily make 10,000 steps, but on my rest days, I sometimes don't. I've found that wearing it motivates me to move more even on my rest days. When I see my steps are lacking while at work, I'll get up and walk around the halls, or walk to see a co-worker rather than email them. I've heard of lots of people who are "housewalking" in order to reach their 10,000 step goal--that may help you when you can't get outside due to the weather!

    I also really like the sleep tracking function. It's helped me see how caffeine definitely makes my sleep more restless and how I'm not getting as much sleep on average as I thought.

    I've heard that they're not very durable, though, so I'm wondering how long it will last. Only time will tell, but I feel it was worth the $99. Good luck!
