The house is quiet right now. Everyone is sleeping in on this cold Saturday morning, just not me.
I love it.
I can sit here with my morning cup of joe and blog.
I miss you guys!
I mean, I really miss you people so much.
I miss reading the blogs and being part of your lives. I miss the quiet solitude of just reading, and being relaxed and peaceful.
Yes, you buddies of mine give me peace.
Can you believe that? This site is my anchor of advice and understanding and forgiving. I love this site. I love you guys.
Now, to update what's been going on here.
Hubby is mending. He saw the surgeon last week and he can take off his half cast three times a day and move his fingers. He is not to be outside without it on of course...that would be a catastrophe if he slipped on the ice without the cast on. Right? (Just joking). He had his first physiotherapy appointment on Thursday and they gave him a squishy red ball to squeeze. My kids love that ball. I think I'm going to have to hide it for him...no really, they love that ball.
All the coughing in the house has stopped, yet I think my son is coming down with a slight cold. My son's surgery went well too. Although the nurses there noticed I was a bit stressed out. Not because of just the surgery, but because I had to take my husband to a different hospital to get his cast off and let the surgeon check out his healing that day too.
New semesters have begun for my to older daughters and so far, my eldest is just burnt out. Although, she does love learning languages and is taking French.
My youngest with the foot issues, is still in physiotherapy for her foot. She also had a bad fall on the ice almost two weeks ago and she has whiplash. (Here is where I pause and take a breath). I brought her to emergency to make sure there was nothing broken and was told if her neck and back don't get any better, bring her to her doctor. Which I had to do. She keeps getting kinks in her neck, she's in pain and I have to help her get out of bed...So she's on painkillers and then I have to take her to physiotherapy for that too.
My poor DD3. She has been going through so much. Physically and mentally.
As for me.
Well what is there to say. Have I been exercising...yes. I have. I'm taping a house that DH had lined up. He cannot go to work, but I can. We hired another taper that he's known for years and they often help each other out if one or the other is busy. So, he's taping the house and I'm there too. Up scaffolding, down scaffolding, setting screws, up and down ladders and always on my feet moving around. I'm also wiping mud, etc... It's hard work and it's funny when people who don't know me find out I can tape a house. (I can't do all of it by myself, there are just some things that are too heavy for me to do.)
Needless to say, between taking the girls to school in the morning, taping, taking my DH and DD3 to appointments, taping, and picking up the girls after school and then taping...I have no time.
DD2 seems to be the cook. DD1 seems to be the dishwasher. DS cannot pick up anything over 10 pounds and DD3...she's out for the count too.
Stressed, yes. Getting things done...sort of.
Hubby can hardly wait until he can get back to work. He's going crazy being home. Although he is reading lots...which is good for him.
So now, I'm signing off after boring all of you about my crazy life.
I'm going to finish my coffee, read some blogs and then when everyone is up...Start the laundry.
LOL. A Mom's job is never done.
